Client receiving error 5193 when running an application that connects to multiple databases.
Unable to find host <host-name> in file HOSTS or HOSTS file not found in expected location. (5193)
FACT(s) (Environment):
Application connects to multiple databases via Auto-Connect.

CAUSE:
One of the Domain Name System (DNS) servers was not running and therefore the host validation could not occur.
FIX:
Restart Domain Name System (DNS) server.
