SYMPTOM(s):
Cannot connect with ODBC
Error database not started
Error in database log file
The shared memory is version 9200; expected 9136 (1178)
FACT(s) (Environment):
Database is started
ODBC client is on the same machine as the database
Version file in the Progress installation directory indicates 9.1E
The database log file indicates 9.1E04 when SQL server process starts
A copy of sports2000 database gives the same error

CAUSE:
The 9.1E04 service pack did not install properly
FIX:
1. Shut down any runnning Progress processes
2. Reinstall the 9.1E04 service pack
3. Verify the version file in the Progress installation directory says 9.1E04
3. Test the ODBC connection again
