SYMPTOM(s):
Shutting down a managed DB with OE Management or DBMAN takes minutes
Nothing is logged to the db.lg file for several minutes
The dbagent and_mproshut processes are running in the system process list for several minutes after shutdown command
The shutdown command is immediately logged to admserv.log

OpenEdge 10.1C
OpenEdge Management 3.1x
Database might shutdown eventually or proshut command needs to be executed
Shutting down the database with proshut works fine
CAUSE:
Bug# OE00171889
FIX:
Upgrade to OpenEdge 10.1C03 or a later release or upgrade to OpenEdge 10.2A where the issue no longer exists.
