Servlet Exec 6.0 log reports access denied trying to open Aia1.aia.log[Fri Mar 06 10:56:10 EST 2009] Could not open C:\DLCWORK\Aia1.aia.log : java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\DLCWORK\Aia1.aia.log (Access is denied)

CAUSE:
Servlet Exec typically runs as a generic user thru ISAPI and IIS. The permissions on the file Aia1.aia.log did not allow the generic "User" account to modify the file.
FIX:
Allow the windows account "User" the right to modify the file.
