GOAL:
How to specify a specific workspace for Architect to use at startup
GOAL:
How can I tell Architect to use a certain workspace when it starts up?
GOAL:
How can several developers use one installation of Architect on Terminal Server where each developer has a separate workspace?
FACT(s) (Environment):
Windows
Citrix/Terminal Services
OpenEdge 10.1x
OpenEdge 10.2x
FIX:
Architect stores the workspace it connects to at startup into a preferences file under the installation directory. By default Architect will look at this preferences file at startup and use the workspace that is specified in the preferences file.
The way to get around this is to create s shortcut for Architect and add the following to the command line:
-data "specify_fullly_qualified_directory_name_where_workspace_is_here"
Using this startup parameter you can override Architects looking at the preferences file under the installation for the workspace to use.
