SYMPTOM(s):
Error 10921 when calling an OpenEdge Web Service
The <namespace> service is unavailable (10921)
The Java Servlet Engine has been configured to use SUN Java 1.4
FACT(s) (Environment):
The Web Service has been deployed without problems
Progress Explorer shows that the Web Service is enabled
OpenEdge 10.1C
HP-UX 11i
Tomcat 5.5
Sun JDK 1.4
CAUSE:
OpenEdge 10.1C has not been certified against SUN Java 1.4. This is also true for the Web Services Adapter in OpenEdge 10.1C.
FIX:
Configure the Java Servlet Engine (JSE) to use SUN Java 1.5 and restart the JSE for the changes to take effect.
