Status: Unverified
SYMPTOM(s):
Child table records not found using for first <child table> of <parent table> and lookup with MSS Dataserver
For first may not find records using lookup function in the where condition and SQL Server DataServer
FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 9.1x
Windows
OpenEdge DataServer Category: SQL Server
CAUSE:
In versions previous to 10.1C, the generated query used the TOP qualifier, combined with the where clause. However the lookup is not added to the where clause, and is suppose to be filtered out by the Progress Client once it has the records. As the top clauses only bring one record, if this only one record does not satisfy the lookup clause, no record will be available to the client.
FIX:
Upgrade to OpenEdge 10.1C or later.
