GOAL:
Is there any way to clear out records loaded into the database buffers (-B)?
GOAL:
Can the records read into the database buffers (-B) be cleared from those buffers without having to stop and restart the database?
FACT(s) (Environment):
All Supported Operating Systems
OpenEdge 10.x
FIX:
No, there is no utility or program that can be run to clear out the records in the database buffers. The only way to clear out the buffers is to stop and restart the database. Records in the buffers are replaced as needed as new records are read in from a new query, however there is no way to simply clear all the records from all the database buffers.
