NameServer is slow to respond to nsman -i NS1 -q
WebSpeed is slow to respond to wtbman -i wsbroker1 -q
Appserver is slow to respond to asbman -i asbroker1 -q
proadsv -q takes 5 minutes to respond
FACT(s) (Environment):
IBM AIX 5.3
PowerPC 64-bit
OpenEdge 10.1B 64-bit
OpenEdge 10.1B03 Service Pack
CHANGE:
The hosts entry in the AIX file /etc
etsvc.conf was changed from hosts=local,bind to hosts=local,bind4
CAUSE:
Changing from bind to bind4 forces the host to look for IPV4 addresses causing host lookup conflicts.
FIX:
Change the hosts to its original value:
hosts=local,bind
