SYMPTOM(s):
Replication source and/or target databases don't start if Transition is configured to use online backups.
The Fathom Replication Server is terminating due to an error. (10399)
The executable <path>/rpserver started by the DB Service manager ended in error. (10215)
FACT(s) (Environment):
An online backup is only able to be performed if the database is restarted after transition
backup-method=full-online

OpenEdge 10.x
OpenEdge Replication 10.x
CAUSE:
During transition, the database must be running in order to perform an online backup.
However, in the [Transition] section of the replication properties files, the following parameter is set which tells replication not to restart the database server:
restart-after-transition=0
FIX:
Change the dbname.repl.properties files so that the database can restart after transition:
restart-after-transition=1
