FACT(s) (Environment):
Windows
MS SQL DataServer
FIX:
Dear Valued Partner and Customers,
This is an important note for customers using OpenEdge SQL Server Dataserver against Microsoft SQL Server 2000 or 2005 database
Progress Software has discovered a potentially serious problem involving the Microsoft SQL Server database. The problem occurs when using either Microsoft SQL Server 2000 or 2005.
During bulk data inserts it is possible that the Microsoft SQL Server database will silently back out database transactions without informing the OpenEdge SQL Server Dataserver. As a result, it can appear to an application that records were successfully inserted when in fact they may not have been. This has been seen when using the Data Administration Tool when performing a data load as part of a dump and load process.
Progress Software has identified a workaround. The workaround is to set the OpenEdge session?s native lockwait timeout switch prior to performing bulk data inserts. For details of how to implement this workaround, refer to the following Progress Software Knowledge Center Solution

Microsoft is currently making every effort to resolve the issue and Progress will continue to support them fully. Additional announcements will be made as more information becomes available.
