SYMPTOM(s):
Cannot connect to database via ODBC/JDBC
Error: [DataDirect][OpenEdge JDBC Driver]OE Broker fails to start SQL server.. (8933)
Permissions are properly set on the $DLC/bin/_* files
Permissions for database directory are properly set
FACT(s) (Environment):
UNIX

OpenEdge 10.0B
OpenEdge 10.1A
OpenEdge 10.1A01 Service Pack
CAUSE:
Using the -optmwrkt in the $DLC/startup.pf file to work around a performance issue with temp tables.
FIX:
Upgrade to 10.1A02 where this parameter is no longer needed or remove the parameter from the startup.pf file.
