SYMPTOM(s):
Not seeing component in the Add Components list.
Can not add UltraControls for .Net compenent to an OpenEdge Architect installation.
FACT(s) (Environment):

CHANGE:
Adding UltraControls for .Net to OpenEdge Architect product installation.
CAUSE:
The desired compenent was not part of the package that was already installed.
FIX:
When the Custom option is used during the installation of Progress / OpenEdge the capability is enabled to limit what components of a product are installed. This is a reduction of the total components that will be installed. If all products are desired, use the Full / Complete option during the installation.
After an installation has been made for which the Custom option was chose, the Add Components option will allow other components that are part of that package to be installed.
Components that are not part of the installed package can not be added using the Add Components option.
Use the setup or proinst from the same version of the original installation media and when the prompt for what directory to install into, chose the original installation directory.
Make sure the product version that you are installing from and adding to are both the same.
Example:
Installing from 10.1B Windows 32 Media to a 10.1B Windows 32 installation.
When prompted for the serial number and control codes of the new product which is to be installed, give the appropriate serial and control numbers.
