In OpenEdge DataServer for Oracle, case insensitive indexing is supported through use of function based index, therefore no additional shadow columns need to be created.
However, OpenEdge DataServer for Oracle still maintains backward compatibility with shadow columns, you can still choose to use shadow columns during migration.
