GOAL:
Is "OpenEdge Linux (x86-64)" the same OS edition as "OpenEdge Linux 64-bit AMD"?
GOAL:
Will "OpenEdge for Linux PowerPC 64-bit" run on a 64-bit Intel-based chip?
FIX:
The same OpenEdge OS edition is referred to as "Linux(x86-64)" in the Product Availability Guide and "Linux 64-bit AMD" in the Download Center. This version is appropriate for Linux on any 64-bit x86-based chip, whether manufactured by Intel or AMD.
The "Linux PowerPC" edition is for a different architecture. It will only work with Linux on a PowerPC chip, not on any x86-based chip.
