FIX:

As mentioned in the Release Notes, install the .NET Framework prior installing OpenEdge 10.2A:

Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 must be installed manually on Windows 2008

If you are installing on a Windows 2008 machine, and plan to run an application that was built using the OpenEdge Ultra Controls for .NET, you must first manually install the .NET Framework 3.0 prior to running the OpenEdge installer.

To download different languages of the .NET Framework 3.0 as well as the Windows 64-bit version:
- Login to the Product Download Center (See P23753)
- Choose "Progress OpenEdge Deployment Components"
- Choose "Microsoft .NET Framework" download page

Another workaround is to install the .NET 3.0 Framework manually from the Server Manager:

- Right mouse click on "My Computer" and select "Manage" to bring up the Server Manager.
- Click on "Features" and "Add Features"
.NET Framework 3.0 appears in this list
