Graphical User Interface (GUI) based RESULTS reports can NOT be automatically migrated to Graphical User Interface (CHUI / TTY ) based RESULTS reports?Progress offers a RESULTS Converter to convert RESULTS Version 6 and Version 7 character-based applications to RESULTS Version 8 graphical applications.
Progress does not offer a RESULTS Converter to convert Results GUI-based applications to RESULTS TTY character-based applications.
The closest thing to an automatic conversion is to use the GUI RESULTS Query Menu Generate Option to generate 4GL code for the GUI Results applications. Once generated and compiled, these 4GL procedures on either a GUI or a CHUI platform to generate the same reports as the original RESULTS reports.
The only other alternative is to recreate the existing GUI Reports from scratch as character-based CHUI) RESULTS applications.
