Client receives 1178 error when connecting to a database after loading a hot fix.
The shared memory is version <num>; expected <num> (1178)
The shared memory is version 9200; expected 9136 (1178)
FACT(s) (Environment):
IBM AIX
Progress 9.1E04 Service Pack
CHANGE:
Upgraded from 9.1D to 9.1E04
CAUSE:
The client executable used to access the database is a customized prohlc executable.
FIX:
1. Install 9.1E and the latest service pack 9.1E04.
2. Rebuild the prohlc executable using a probuild.
