SYMPTOM(s):
Probkup fails to backup database after upgrade to new version
Installation made to same directory as prior version.
FACT(s) (Environment):
Upgrade from 10.1A to 10.1B of OpenEdge
All Supported Operating Systems
Progress/OpenEdge Product Family
CAUSE:
The installation of the new version of OpenEdge did not use the option to ERASE prior directory. Some files within the old installation directory have identical names as the new installation and were not replaced by the new installation.
FIX:
Always chose the option to erase prior installation directory when installing a newer version into the same directory as an older version.
