Proshut -by known problems with 6.2L
For PROGRESS Version 6.2L, when you use the Kill Users (-by) option,
PROSHUT hangs under the following conditions:
* A user has not pressed the SPACEBAR.
* A user is in an UPDATE after PROGRESS displays a message.
* A user is in a UNIX escape.
There are two workarounds for this issue:
* Write a UNIX script that calls PROSHUT and disconnects the users
prior to PROSHUT - by.
* Send a Kill -2 to the user process.
Proshut has been improved in V6.3F and V7 to better handle these
situations. Proshut will be further improved in future releases.
