SYMPTOM(s):
Running the proupdt utility fails with an installation error "INSTALLATION ERROR(133): Product not installed. Unable to update product".

Running the showcfg command in a proenv window shows that the current product being updated (port number 36) is an HP-UX 64 bit PA-RISC product.
FACT(s) (Environment):
HP-UX 11i 64-bit

CAUSE:
The serial number and control codes provided with the license update are for an HP-UX 64 bit Itanium product, not for the existing HP-UX PA-RISC product being updated.
FIX:
Contact Progress Software Customer Service to obtain a serial number and control codes for the PA-RISC product. The HP-UX 64 bit PA-RISC product (port number 36) is a different product from the HP-UX 64 bit Itanium product (port number 40).
