SYMPTOM(s):
Cannot remove BI extent using PROSTRCT REMOVE
Doing PROSTRCT LIST on the DB after running PROSTRCT REMOVE shows that that BI extent is still present
FACT(s) (Environment):
Trying to delete a variable BI extent and replace it with multiple fixed extents
OpenEdge 10.1B
OpenEdge 10.1C
Windows 2000 Server
Windows 2003 Server
CHANGE:
After-Imaging was disabled
CAUSE:
Failover Clusters registration had been done for the DB
FIX:
To make any modifications to BI extents on a cluster server you must first unregister th DB from the failover clusters. There are 2 ways of doing this: In Proenv, by using the command PROCLUSTER db_name DISABLE In Progress Explorer, go into the Properties of the required DB, then tick the box labelled "Start this Database in Cluster mode"
