SYMPTOM(s):
Progress 9.1E installation process aborts indicating that _isdel.exe is being used by another process
The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. _ISDEL.EXE
Getting busy error on file _isdel.exe when installing Progress
Still getting error even after changing the "Application Experience Lookup Service" startup type and system reboot
FACT(s) (Environment):
When task manager is checked for processes, _isdel.exe is not active.
Windows 2008 Enterprise x64
Windows Vista
Progress 9.1E
CAUSE:
Progress 9.1E is not certified on Windows 2008 or Vista.
FIX:
Choose one of the following:
1) Upgrade to OpenEdge 10.1B or later for Windows 2008. It must be 10.1B03 or later for Vista.
2) Change Operating System to a certified level. See solution P34824 , "Which versions of Windows are supported by Progress 9.1E" for supported levels.
