RCURCTR overflow reading promsgs
INTRODUCTION:
=============
This error has only been seen in Actuate Report Server and did
not show up in developer workbench running on the same machine.
PROCEDURAL APPROACH:
====================
After installing Actuate Report Server, run a Progress db report.
If this error (RCURCTR overflow reading promsgs) occurs, it is
a missconfiguration of the Progress enviroment variables.
It is not necessarily the promsgs that is wrong, it can be the DLC.
The intresting part is that the error is not seen in Devwb running
on the same machine !?.
Example: A customer reported this error and we couldn't find out
what was causing this to happen.
He "verified" that the error only occured on the Report Server
by running the Devwb on the same machine.
In the end it was the PATH to DLC that was wrong because (on NT)
the %DLC% was typed as DLC%. One % character was missing.
These kind of typos can be hard to find.
NOTE: I couldn't reproduce this on my machine which makes this
problem even more mysterious.
