Expected AI file number 1 but file specified is XXXX in sequence. (8019)
FACT(s) (Environment):
Mirroring is used to create a hot backup database for recovery purposes.
Database was shutdown prior to splitting the mirrors.
Mirrors were successfully split
prostrct repair was ran against the dbname.st file to have it recognize where the db is now located.
probkup utility is used to take a backup of the database from the hot backup side of the mirrors
probkup command on the hot backup does not make use of the -norecover option.
All Supported Operating Systems
Progress 9.1D
OpenEdge 10.x
Progress 9.1E
CAUSE:
The probkup command was ran without the -norecover option. Therefore the database went through crash recovery and the ai file was no longer valid for rolling forward.
FIX:
Use the -norecover option when performing a Progress database backup with the probkup command on a hot backup database.
