GOAL:

FACT(s) (Environment):
All Supported Operating Systems

FIX:
Jump notes are generated to make dynamic backout faster. They are generated when a note for a given user/transaction is about to be written in a different BI block than that user/transactions previous note. The jump note is written first, followed by whatever note was about to be written. This way, when the database engine reads backward through the BI and encounters a jump note for the transaction being backed out, it reads the block indicated by the note thus skipping some number of intervening blocks which contained no notes for this transaction.
