TranMan - Can single and double-byte code be in the same DB?

Can single and double byte code be stored in the same translation db?

Answer: yes.

A database can have any and all characters that are in the codepage of
the database.

Double-byte character sets include both single and double byte
characters. The single byte characters are generally the same as those
in ASCII, but can include others.

So, you can mix English (singlebyte) and Chinese (double-byte) for
example.

However, doublebyte character sets generally do not have characters
used in languages other than English, for example accented characters
used in French, German, etc.

The question that you should ask yourself is: Which languages are
you trying to combine?

If it is English and anything else, you are ok. Other combinations
and doublebyte may be difficult to accomplish.
