OpenEdge 10.1C01 Service Pack
All Supported Operating Systems
FIX:
Dear Valued Partner and Customers,
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR CUSTOMERS USING (OR PLANNING TO UPGRADE TO) 10.1C01 EDITOR WIDGET:
If your code uses the ASSIGN statement, the SET statement or the READ-FILE() method to read data into a field viewed as EDITOR widget before that widget has been DISPLAYed, then please be advised that Progress Software has recently become aware of an issue that can cause user typed data or file data not to be read into the field widgets that are viewed as EDITOR widgets unless these widgets have been DISPLAYed already before executing the SET or assign statements or invoking the READ-FILE method.
This issue does not occur under OpenEdge 10.1C and lower.
If you need to upgrade to OpenEdge 10.1C01 and your code reads data into EDITOR widgets using the above statements or method without first DISPLAYing these EDITOR widgets, then please contact Progress Technical Support in your region prior to proceeding with the upgrade.
For customers already on OpenEdge 10.1C01 and with code using the above constructs, please contact Progress Technical Support in your region immediately.
Technical Support will help you assess the need to install a Hot Fix for this issue on top of OpenEdge 10.1C01, and provide you with the Hot Fix as well.
