Win install dll in use ctl3d.dll ctl3dv2.dll ctl3d32.dll

If you are unable to install Progress on a Windows PC because of a
message saying that a dll is in use, try the following:

1. Close any applications that are running and try the install again.

2. If the problem persists, reboot the PC to come up in DOS mode.
While in DOS mode, rename the dll file. (For example, rename the
ctl3d.dll file to ctl3d.bak) The dll in question will be found
in either the windows\system or the windows\system32 directory.

3. Reboot the PC again to get into Windows. Run the Progress
installation again.

4. Once the installation completes, go to the directory where the
dll is, and compare the date of the dll that Progress installed
with the backup copy. If the backup copy is more recent, you may
want to use it. In that case, it's still advisable to keep a
backup of Progress's version of the dll (for example, rename
ctl3d.dll to ctl3d.prg). Then, rename your backup copy of the
dll so it will have the .dll extension again. It may be
necessary to boot into DOS to do all this renamimg.
