GOAL:
How to download an AS/400 schema holder to a UNIX client.
FACT(s) (Environment):
AS/400 DataServer
FIX:
1.) On the UNIX client, run the PRO command to get into the
Progress Procedure Editor
2.) Take the tools option
3.) Take the data dictionary option
4.) Take the Database option.
5.) Take the create a new database option.
6.) Create a new local database from empty
to act as the local schema holder
7.) Connect to the Local Database.
8.) Go to the DataServer tab
9.) Select db2/400 option
10.)Select create new DataServer schema
11.) Enter the name of the AS/400 Library/Database that you would like to connect to. Enter all the pertinent connection parameters and after the connection is complete a new schema holder will be downloaded from the AS/400.
