OpenEdge client terminates during startup due to a custom made Progress installation
The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0150002). Click on OK to terminate the application.
FACT(s) (Environment):
Custom made Progress installation has been created
Files have been copied from %DLC%\bin\system to c:\windows\system32
Dll files appear to be up-to-date

OpenEdge 10.1C
CAUSE:
In 10.1C the install changed from copying the MSVC runtime DLL's to windows\system32 to running the MSVC runtime installer.
FIX:
Download and install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (MSVC) runtime from Microsoft:

It is also possible to run a silent install of the above package from a DOS command prompt by using the /Q option.
