SYMPTOM(s):
Connection to Replication target database fails with errors 10496 and 10397.
The Fathom Replication Agent <agent> cannot be contacted by the database broker on host <host>, port <port>. (10496)
The connection attempt to the Fathom Replication Agent <agent> failed. (10397)

CAUSE:
One or more properties within the replication properties files are incorrect.
FIX:
Check the replication properties files to ensure that replication has been configured correctly. For example, that the hostname and port number of the agent is correct.
Also check that the network connection between the source and target machines is functioning correctly, using ping. Use the hostname as it is spelt within the replication properties file.
