SYMPTOM(s):
Webspeed workshop does not respond to compile
In files tools, while file is selected, upon clicking on Compile icon, there is no response
In file tools, without selecting a file, upon clicking Compile icon, no message is poped up
FACT(s) (Environment):
Using Internet Explorer 5 or 6
All Supported Operating Systems
Progress 9.x
OpenEdge 10.x
CAUSE:
The IE has disabled Java Script. The file tool page is a Java Script page, and is depending on browser's ability to execute Java Script
FIX:
Enable Java Script in IE. Following are steps:
1. From the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
2. From the Security tab, click Custom Level.
3. Scroll to Java permissions, click to select High safety.
4. Click OK
5. From the File menu, click Close.
6. Relaunch your browser.
