Key press on a search column does not fire the value-changed trigger.
Down-arrow on the searched column does fire the value-changed trigger.
FACT(s) (Environment):
Browse is updatable.
Browse is set to read-only.
Browse is in start-search mode.
Column is not the first column in the browse.
Key press on the first column of the browse does fire the value-changed trigger.

Workaround to the issue is to make your searchable column the first column in the browse.
