SYMPTOM(s):
Error 1252 when trying to connect to the Oracle database using OpenEdge 32-BIT
ORACLE error -1012 see "ORACLE Error Messages and Codes Manual
Login failure: ORA-12705: invalid or unknown NLS parameter value specified
FACT(s) (Environment):
The environment variable NLS_LANG is properly set.
If the NLS_LANG variable is unset, the error doesn't appear.
The schema holder has the same codepage as the database
Database is 64 bit.
The issue does not occurs with OpenEdge 64 bit
HP-UX 11i 64-bit
OpenEdge 10.1B 32-bit
Oracle DataServer
Oracle 9i
CAUSE:
The libraries libclntsh.sl.9.0 and libwtc9.sl are corrupted
FIX:
Replace these libraries and include them in $ORACLE_HOME/lib32
