SYMPTOM(s):

Authenticating via a .Net UI through a load balancer product, the F5 redirector, fails.

Nsman query fails from outside the F5 Load Balancer.

Progress.Open4GL.DynamicAPI.SessionPool+NoAvailableSessionsException: SessionPool : NoAvailableSessions[Could not connect to the AppServer: General Error: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond <IP address:port>. (7203)

An error was thrown by the IAuthenticationProvider associated with the application plugin.

System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.

FACT(s) (Environment):

Nsman query runs fine on the same box as the F5 product.
All Supported Operating Systems
OpenEdge 10.1x

CAUSE:

The hostname listed in the NameServer configuration was incorrect. The name server (NS1) had the hostname listed as
the virtual IP alias being used with the F5 Load Balancer product.

FIX:

Change the hostname listed in the NameServer to the actual hostname not an alias.
