SYMPTOM(s):
Receiving errors for SonicMQ Adapter when OpenEdge 10.1C installation is tailoring files.
Tailoring OpenEdge SonicMQ Adapter files
SonicMQ Tailoring portion of the installation.
Cannot access Sonic files in: <pathname>
OpenEdge installation completes successfully.
FACT(s) (Environment):
$DLC/sonic folder is missing.
uname -a shows the Operating System version is 11.11
Sonic MQ 7.5.1
OpenEdge 10.1C 64-bit
HP-UX 11i Itanium
HP-UX 11i 64-bit
CAUSE:
The SonicMQ Adapter 7.5.1 was not successfully installed on the machine. The SonicMQ Adapter installation failed during the tailoring portion of the installation due to an incompatibility between OpenEdge 10.1C 64-bit, the SonicMQ Adapter 7.5.1 and the platform/Operating System the installation was being performed on.
FIX:
The OpenEdge Adapter for SonicMQ and the OpenEdge Adapter for Sonic ESB may be installed and used on any platform that is supported by both Progress/OpenEdge and by SonicMQ/ESB.
If either Progress/OpenEdge or SonicMQ/ESB is NOT supported on a platform, the OpenEdge Adapter for SonicMQ/ESB cannot be installed and is NOT supported on that platform. Refer to solution, P114661, "Progress/OpenEdge Adapters for Sonic: Platform Support and Compatibility" for additional information on compatibility.
