SYMPTOM(s):
Database Hang situation can occur when a db latch contention issue occurs at the same time as a process terminating with a kill signal
All database activity has stopped
Users are unable to log into the database.
Database appears to be hung.
promon lock activity screen shows a couple of exclusive locks
promon lock activity screen shows 20 or more processes holding a share lock on the _Db Table (-6).
Database log file (dbname.lg) shows a user terminating their session with a kill signal around the time of the database hang.
