SYMPTOM(s):
_probrkr is not executing from proenv prompt on Windows
Dataserver broker is not executing from proenv prompt on Windows
Progress 8.2C is installed on the same windows machine
CAUSE:
The DLC, PROMSGS, IDLC environment variables for 8.2C are defined on the system environment on the machine. The PATH on the system environment also has %DLC%\bin appended to it. The progress 8.2C was installed only for client networking license. On the machine, the proenv session's environment variable is being overwritten by the system environment varibale. Therefore no _probrkr is found on the %DLC%\bin.
FIX:
Remove the 8.2C environment variables from the system environment, and restart the proenv session to start the _probrkr again.
