Status: Unverified
FACT(s) (Environment):
Linux Intel
Sun Solaris Intel
Windows 32 Intel
OpenEdge 10.0x
OpenEdge 10.1x
SYMPTOM(s):
Client crashes connecting with session-free to state-free appserver
SYSTEM ERROR: Memory violation. (49)
AppServer definition in ubroker.properties file has no UUID defined
destroy_ubConPool
CAUSE:
If no UUID is specified in a State-free appserver definition and a client on LinxX86, Windows or Solaris Intel attempts to connect using the '-sessionModel session-free' parameter the client crashes with a memory violation.
FIX:
There is a section of the ubroker.properties header which specifies that UUID is a required field. To workaround this issue include a UUID in the appserver definition using the genuuid script provided in $DLC/bin.
