SYMPTOM(s):
Database performance is very slow after performing a Progress upgrade.
Taking 5 minutes to retrieve a record executing a query against a Database.
CAUSE:
The startup.pf file after the upgrade is not the same as the one used before the upgrade.
The spin lock entries (-spin) startup parameter has not been added to the new startup.pf.
FIX:
Add the -spin startup parameter within the startup.pf file in way to have and identical startup.pf file than the one used before the upgrade.
