CAUSE:
This is caused by Internet Explorer security
FIX:
1. Open Internet Explorer
2. Go to the Security tab
3. Go to Trusted Sites
4. Cick the button 'sites"
5. Add the server that the mapped drive is on. The format required seems to be:
file://host-name
