Is the Progress Linux 64 x86 compatible for AMD 64

GOAL:

Is the Progress Linux 64 x86 compatible for Intel 64 processor

FACT(s) (Environment):

Linux x86 64-bit
OpenEdge 10.x

FIX:

The x86-64 was designed by AMD, who have since renamed it AMD64. It has been cloned by Intel under the name Intel 64 (formerly known as EM64T among other names). As such, there should not be problems running Progress on either of these architects.
On the AMD64 and the INTEL64(EM64T) architectures the same Linux AMD 64-bit download will be used.

Note:
A separate and different download can be found for those installing on a Linux PowerPC 64-bit platform.
Please be sure of your platform before selecting the proper download.
