FACT(s) (Environment):

OpenEdge 10.1C

FIX:

If the database was previously an earlier OpenEdge 10 version, the VST schema needs to first be updated with the following proutil command offline:
$ proutil <dbname> -C updatevst

Additionally, the client database-request cache needs to first be activated in order for the related _Connect-Cache* VST's to be populated:
_Connect-CacheInfo, _Connect-CacheInfoType, _Connect-CacheLastUpdate, _Connect-CacheLineNumber, _Connect-CachingType

These cannot be enabled using VST's or startup parameters - they are activated online, as needed, through promon as follows:

promon dbname > R&D -> 1. Status Displays ... -> 18. client Database-Request Statement Cache

where the following menu is presented with the activate/deactivate/view options:

OpenEdge Release 10 Monitor (R&D)
Client Database-Request Statement Caching Menu
1. Activate For Selected Users
2. Activate For All Users
3. Activate For All Future Users
4. Deactivate For Selected Users
5. Deactivate For All Users
6. Deactivate For All Future Users
7. View Database-Request Statement Cache
8. Specify Directory for Statement Cache Files
