SYMPTOM(s):
Error (1423) when running code with auto-connect list feature
There is no server for database <dbname>. (1423)
Running r-code against a database that has an auto-connect list
Error only occurs during the first time the compiled code is executed
Code runs just fine after the first attempt to execute it
The -db parameter was specified under "CONNECT -Statement Parameters" during the creation of the auto-connection list
CAUSE:
When configuring the auto-connection list using the Data Administrator Tool, it is not necessary to specify the -db parameter. This information is already provided via the fulfillment of the "Physical Name" fill-in on the "Add Auto-Connect Record" Dialog
FIX:
Remove the -db parameter from the list of CONNECT -Statement Parameters specified for the Auto-Connect Record
