A port number option in Progress Explorer Tool is permanently grayed out
Unable to change a port number of AppServer Broker to a valid value
The port being assigned is not used for any other unified broker definition
Verifying the configuration with "asconfig -validate" fails with error 8143
VALIDATION MESSAGE: Unexpected error: java.lang.NullPointerException. (8143)
CAUSE:
Section names for AppServer Broker definitions in ubroker.properties file were manually modified not preserving appropriate character case, e.g. [ubroker.as.asbroker1]. In such situations, the validation routine in Progress Explorer Tool fails to determine if the port has already been assigned.
FIX:
Change section names to a proper (case sensitive) format, e.g.: [UBroker.AS.asbroker1]
