DataServer vs. Gateway -- What is the difference?
There is no technical difference between a DataServer and a Gateway.
The difference is only in terminology.
Progress Software considers the term Gateway to describe 1980s
technology, and DataServer to describe 1990s technology.
For PROGRESS Version 6 and subsequent versions, Progress Software uses
the term DataServer.
