GOAL:
Can I use the OpenEdge Architect plug-in with a different Eclipse 3.2 installation ?
GOAL:
Can OpenEdge Architect be used with a separate installation of Eclipse?
GOAL:
How to add OpenEdge plug-ins to Eclipse installation ?
FACT(s) (Environment):
OpenEdge 10.1B
All Supported Operating Systems
OpenEdge Category: Architect (OEIDE)
FIX:
The OpenEdge Architect plug-in can be used with a separate installation of Eclipse. The current installation of 10.1B creates a different directory for the plug-in and the default Eclipse installation.
To be able to use the OpenEdge Architect plug-in make sure you have the following plug-ins installed in your Eclipse installation (these are not part of the default Eclipse installation):
- Eclipse Modeling Framework
- EMF Service Data Objects (SDO)
- Graphical Editing Framework
Add the directory as an Extension Location and restart the Eclipse environment, the OpenEdge Architect should be functional at this point.
