As a valuable extension of Progress Software Support Service offerings, the following features are now available to Progress Sonic® and Progress DataXtend? Semantic Integrator customers. The Sonic Knowledge Center enables Sonic customers to search the Technical Support Knowledge Base, product whitepapers, and documentation, and the Progress Alert and Notification Service is now available for both the Sonic and DataXtend Semantic Integrator product lines.
Sonic Knowledge Center
The Sonic Knowledge Center enables customers to search the Technical Support Knowledge Base, product whitepapers, and documentation. You can use natural language to search on error messages and problem systems, and also use natural language search to ask general ?how-to? questions.
Progress Sonic customers can also submit a Technical Support case directly from the Knowledge Center. Opening a case in this manner has the major advantage of automatically letting the support engineer know what you searched on and the solutions that you reviewed. This process is a major advantage to Progress Sonic customers because it allows Progress technical support to accelerate the resolution of your case by saving considerable time in the initial troubleshooting process. Progress Alert and Notification Service for Sonic and DataXtend Semantic Integrator
In addition, the Progress Alert and Notification Service is now available for both the Sonic and DataXtend Semantic Integrator product lines. The Progress Alert and Notification Service allows Progress customers to subscribe and proactively receive notifications on:
Critical Alerts (serious product defects).
Maintenance Alerts (releases of service pack, and or maintenance releases).
Product Update Alerts (new releases).
New Solutions and Popular Solutions (all newly published, or most popular, solutions provided to customers by Technical Support).
The Progress Alert and Notification Service will notify you when new information is posted to our Knowledge Center. By subscribing to this service, you will receive information on Critical Alerts, announcements of Service Packs and Maintenance Releases, updates on product life cycle status changes, and notifications of new and frequently reused content within our Knowledge Center. This service provides information for the Progress OpenEdge®, ObjectStore®, DataXtend, and Sonic product lines, and subscriptions for the other Progress product lines will be available in the near future.
Subscribe today to the Progress Alert and Notification Service and automatically receive notification when new information is posted to the Knowledge Center. The subscription process is simple, visit the registration page, enter your email address and select the appropriate notification category or categories you would like to receive.
