After-Imaging between different platforms is not supported.
Any configuration which involves different platforms, ie: PARISC and Itanium, 32 and 64 bit Windows, Linux and Windows, HP-UX and AIX, etc. are considered different platforms by Progress. The only official mode of supporting after-imaging between servers is when both servers are identical platforms, ie: same hardware & operating system versions and Progress versions.
Therefore, a Prorest or an OS copy of the database between different platforms, which is required to use After-imaging, even if it appears to work, is not supported by Progress.
